Palmistry Marriage Lines
How to Read Marriage Lines in Palmistry
The use of marriage lines in palmistry can be a fun and unique way to gain insight into a person’s preordained or “destined” future. Although the art of reading palmistry can be a bit generalized and complicated at times, practice can definitely make it easier to unveil the meaning behind the lines of the hand. Some people believe that the fate of one’s life has been mapped out in the lines and creases of one’s hand. Whether this is how you feel or not, it can still be very interesting to learn about what possibilities your “map” could reveal about you!
Locating the Life, Head, and Heart Lines
In order to effectively locate and read marriage lines in palmistry, it is important that you understand where the three major lines reside and what they mean. These are: the life line, the head line, and the heart line. The life line is the crescent shaped line that starts at the base of the palm and curves upwards towards the thumb. The life line is used to indicate a person’s vitality and whether they will have a long life. The head line is located just above the life line and sometimes even connects with the life line. It starts at the thumb-side of the palm and extends outward. The head line is meant to be an indicator of one’s intellectual capacity, such as having a strong mental ability or a short attention span. The heart line is another deep line that stretches across the top of the palm above the head line. This line is generally used as an indication of the love and romantic relationships one will have in their life. The marriage lines are located near the heart line—which may not be a coincidence.
Locating Marriage Lines in Palmistry
The marriage lines in palmistry are located on the outermost portion of the palm just a centimeter below the base of the pinky finger and right above the heart line. This line or lines may be difficult to detect as the depth and length is a factor that differs from person to person.
Reading the Marriage Lines
Do you have multiple lines in the marriage line region that run parallel to one another? This is usually an indicator either of multiple marriages or of multiples romances. Bear in mind that the marriage lines do not necessarily indicate a formal ceremony or “marriage” but rather it is meant to indicate a strong relationship that makes a definitive impact on one’s life. A series of light lines is meant to be an indicator of romances. A deeper line is usually indicative of a formal union or ceremony. If the marriage line splits towards the outside of the hand, this can be a sign that you will have a long engagement.
If the marriage line splits towards the inner portion of the hand then it indicates that the resulting marriage will experience some form of separation, regardless of whether the marriage actually ends. If another line intersects the end of the marriage line (at the end that point towards the center of the palm), then this indicates that the marriage will end either by death or by divorce. Multiple marriage lines that cross one another are often interpreted as being a sign of an affair or affairs that occur during the marriage. If your marriage line appears to have a short separation but continues to carry on towards the palm then this may be a sign that your marriage will experience a temporary separation but the marriage will not end.
If your marriage line appears to have several forks in it or if an island-like circular branch appears on the line, then it is possible that your marriage will experience tough times or obstacles that are likely to result in a period of unhappiness. A drastic line that crosses the marriage line is an indicator that a grave obstacle will occur during the marriage.
Finally, if your marriage line appears to curve upwards towards your pinky finger then this is a suggestion that you may never marry. Don’t worry! It could still suggest that you may form a close relationship with someone, but the chances of a formal union appear to be on the slim side.
Lines that Intercept the Marriage Line(s)
If you have a close look at your marriage line, you might be able to see a line (or several) running downward to intercept—but doesn’t cross—with the marriage line. These lines are known as “children lines.” Many people make the mistake of believing that the total number of children lines equals the number of children that will result from the marriage. This number is actually a suggestion of how many children you could have if you snagged every opportunity, but not necessarily how many you will have.
Marriage lines in palmistry are generally read by their depth. When looking at your own hand, try to gauge the line not necessarily by length but by depth, which signifies the depth or meaningfulness of the relationship.
